Kyle Orrick – Treasurer, Board Member
Kyle found his passion for cycling when he was introduced to triathlons after a competitive swimming career in university. He moved to Brantford after meeting his wife and discovered the Brant Cycling Club. Now, a busy father who works full time, Kyle enjoys riding whenever he can and hopes competitive races will be an option in the near future.
Ryan Maguire - Ride Leader, Board Member
Ryan lives in Brantford with his wife and 2 children. They enjoy being outdoors hiking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, and skiing.
He’s enjoyed cycling for as long as he can remember. In his youth, it meant freedom to get to the convenience store (for hockey cards), a friend’s house, school, and work.
He started riding road and gravel in 2016 and joined BCC a year later. The ride leaders and fellow members have shared so much cycling knowledge and passion for the sport. The BCC sparked his cycling fire from weekend warrior to participating in many of the weekly rides and other events.
Mike Grupstra – Board Member, Trail Committee Member
I reside in Paris with my wife and two young daughters. I work in the health care field as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and Athletic Therapist.
I’ve been an avid mountain biker for over two decades. I love what our local environment has to offer in the form of biking and travelling. It’s been a great joy of mine to share that excitement with my wife and our daughters.
I joined the BCC because I wanted to bring my passion for mountain biking to the forefront and help to develop the local Brant County mountain biking culture. I believe that promoting mountain biking in Brant County will improve the health and wellbeing of all county residence.
Kelsey Reidl – Social Media & Communications
From there, she found her way from the stationary bike to her first BMC road bike and the love affair began!
In addition to her love for the road, she’s also become very fond of Gravel Rides since moving to Paris, Ontario.
Over the years she’s been able to help lead one of Toronto’s first women’s cycling club, participate in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and now to help build this new BCC Website that you’re visiting!
Duncan Ross - Board Member, Founder of BCC
Duncan is a passionate advocate of the transformational benefits of outdoor recreation and grassroots community building. He is a founding member and Past President of the Brant Cycling Club.
After more than 10 years volunteering with the Brant Cycling Club, Duncan is excited to be back on the board, charting the strategic direction of the club for the next 10 years. He is dedicated to the successful execution of the ‘North of the Nith’ Trail Project, after years of hard work by the BCC Trail Committee. When looking back at the history of the club, his fondest memories are the many great relationships that have formed.
Duncan has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial insurance and risk management. He works with BFL CANADA, specializing in public entity, and sports organizations. He has held a variety of volunteer roles with many organizations, including: Brant Waterways Foundation, Brantford Chamber of Commerce, Community Brant, Ontario Cycling Association.
Born and raised in Brantford, Duncan has deep roots in this community. If he’s not out riding his bike, or working on the trails, he enjoys hanging out with family and friends.
Having a strong competitive spirit, Duncan has raced at an elite level in multiple endurance disciplines, including triathlon, mountain, and gravel.
David Leng – Secretary
David has been involved with the Brant Cycling Club as a member since inception and every year since 2016 as a corporate sponsor. David is well known as an advocate for geoscience and cycling - profession and passion, respectively. He is very active in the local community - sitting on the boards of Brant Cycling Club and Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant. Being on the BCC board means bringing experience from the corporate world and applying it to good use throughout the cycling world.
Ken Green - The Unofficial Spokesperson & Go-To Guy!
Ken grew up in Brantford on a local farm and has always had a passion for the open roads!
You’ll find Ken on his Mountain Bike, riding Gravel and Road, and Fat Biking in the snow in the Winter Time!
Ken lives in Brantford with his wife and 2 teenage girls, and when he’s not riding he loves to sip coffee in his hottub.
Graham Chittenden - Board Member & Social Media Guy
Graham is a comedian who lives in Brantford with his partner and their two elderly pugs. He loves to ride bikes — all bikes, road, gravel, mountain, fat bikes, whatever. Is he any good at it? What a great question.
Graham's job as a writer takes him across Canada, and he thinks there is no better way to goof off and clear the mind than to get lost on a bike ride somewhere in a forest or on a mountain. He thinks you should pull your bike out of the shed and have a little fun.
